Two events and a look ahead
Thank you to all, and happy return of winter—late? early?—or what is it exactly?
Events
Marin LaMartina, one of our past participants, invites us to an event coming up on December 9, at City of Asylum and online, celebrating the release of Hanna du Plessis’ new book, Bedsores and Bliss: Finding fullness of life with a terminal diagnosis, with a great lineup of Pittsburgh writers. Details are here.
And I want to take this moment to let you know about an upcoming event that I’ll be part of — online on Saturday December 14 at 4 pm ET in celebration of Beacon Radiant, great weather for MEDIA’s beautiful 2024 anthology, which includes my short “Swimming Home,” a piece that came out of one of our Writing As A Wisdom Project retreats.
Readers along with me will be Taneesh Kaur, David Haynes, Tobey Hiller, Rebecca Macijeski, Karen Neuberg, Adrian Potter, and Ed Go.
To join us, find the link on Eventbrite, here.
Looking ahead
Finally, I want to share with you all that Writing As A Wisdom Project is evolving, and most future WWP offerings will be shaped collectively and organized and led by experienced participants rather than by me.
If you’re interested in joining the (always playful) planning for this transition, please leave a comment here or reply by email via Substack.
